The Americans built a Hummer for the track

American Atelier Mil-Spec Automotive (MSA) has built a track version of the Hummer H1. The SUV has completely changed the suspension, lowered ground clearance, and modified diesel Duramax V8.

The basis for the project of building the track “Hummer” became a four-door pickup truck with a soft top sample 1987. For the sake of improving driving characteristics of the SUV changed the geometry of the suspension set adjustable rack with hard springs and 179 mm reduced ground clearance. Built-in braking system thus equipped sectionseven calipers, and wheels shod in low-profile Pirelli P-Zero.

Standard motor — diesel V8 Duramax 6.6 — received a separate package of improvements, which increased its capacity up to 800 horsepower and 2034 Nm of torque. For testing and final debugging of this unit and create a “track” Hummer. According to the representative of the MSA, to offer these machines to clients they do not plan to.

Previously, the MSA introduced the Hummer H1, double pneumatic system. The SUV was equipped with a bespoke suspension, the height of which can be adjusted in the range of 180 millimeters, and pneumatic seats electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated. The ground clearance is 457 mm, the fording depth — 106,68 centimeter.
